Welcome to the Sixteenth Annual
NORA Multi-Disciplinary Conference.
The Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation
Association, International (NORA) is a group of committed
individuals from various disciplines focused on advancing the art
and science of rehabilitation for the neurologically challenged patient.
Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation
is an individualized treatment regimen for patients with visual deficits
as a result of physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, stroke,
and other neurological problems. It specifically treats acquired visual
dysfunctions as determined by standardized diagnostic criteria. The
treatment regimens encompass medically necessary compensatory and
non-compensatory lenses and prisms with or without occlusion and other
appropriate strategies.
The Clinical Skills Program,
held after the conference this year, allows the professional an opportunity
to further his/her knowledge and expertise through study and examination.
It begins with “An Introduction into Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation”
on Monday morning, March 19th at 8::00 a.m and continues with Levels
I, II, all day Monday and Tuesday.
The Format for the General Conference
will be two full days scheduled from 8 am Saturday March 17th and
concluding Sunday March 18th at 5 pm.
